Chapters 3+4
I enjoyed Ch.3+4 more than one and two. We are finally starting to character build, and more is being discovered about David and what his 'deviation' is. Speaking telepathically is something that David, his cousin Rosalind, and other children share. Considering that this book takes place after something that sounds like a nuclear holocaust all of these make sense. After the attack on Hiroshima in WWII, many pregnant women who were exposed to the chemicals gave birth to deformed children. Many were missing limbs, or had too many limbs. It was awful. It only makes sense that while David and Sophie's world is trying to rebuild itself, that the aftermath of the nuclear power will leave many with abnormal things about them. I have a feeling that David and Sophie will find comfort and a new home in the Fringes, despite the dark rumors about those people.

What with the wood picture?
ReplyDeleteI never thought about it that way before. Good predictions too.
